should l put them in a sealed box or what l really do not think sealed sounds better what do you guys think l give best answer to

sealed boxes have tighter response than ported boxes . but ported boxes allow for more reveb.also the ported boxes take up more room cost is higher.

15''s belong in a ported box for the bass to revamp & hit lower yet harder. It is more for bass & less for the actual speaker. Put dynamat all in the trunk, including the sides, top, & lid of the trunk. It will hit 3db harder which is almost twice the power rated so u should have harder & crisper hits. Possibly, if u can, turn the box so it faces towards the seats & see how that goes compared to the trunk. Some of the best systems I've encountered that were not constructed to have bass walls r systems that r right behind ur seats in fiberglass enclosures. They make ur brain rattle & it is a lot better.

what is happening is your trunk is tight. ie the bass is having a hard time getting into the cabin. try to free it up some. there is usually a layer of sound killer on most cars backseat lining. pull your back seat take the killer out and you should see a increase in bass. if your weary about doing this try and take the rear deck speakers out. creating a port for your trunk. just to see if the level increase. hope this helps
