What should l get l have a 95 mustang and wanna have a very loud system l need a deck and an amp also subs and maybe some speakers but I am thinking to get them off of eBay to save some money. Should l get them from eBay or just a store and what should l look for? I am thinking kicker but l do not know

the only problem with bying off ebay is it may void the warrenty and if it wont then its ok l guess l would get memphis all the way aroung but the thing about that is you cant buy off the internet you have to go to a certified memphis dealer get the mojo unless 1500 is your limit cuz the amp alone costs more than that

l would go to Circuit City. They have awesome warranties & awesome sales on several different stereos. They r also great quality speaker systems as well. If u buy enough, l think they even install for free or a great price. You can get a GREAT system with a $1500 budget. l would look for two 15'' subwoofers, & a nice 1000w amp or something like that. They should help u there. DO NOT BUY THEM FROM E-BAY. You r just going to look at knock-offs & crappy speakers. l would definately check out Circuit City first & if that fails, there should be some local stores u could buy them at. Good Luck!

Most ebay'ers offer no warranty so hell no dont get them there. l can get you what u need and save you some cash. Hit me up

Bring ur budget & ur questions to ur local car audio shop in town. l would never recommend just taking a shot in the dark & buying off of Ebay without actually listening to what it is you're buying. Take the time to bring in some of ur music & most shops have the ability to let u try ur combination of deck, amp(s), speakers & subs. By doing this u will know if what you're getting for ur $1500 is ''loud'' enough or if u will need to increase ur budget to get what you're looking for.

This is actually really tricky. Any sub will sound good set up right but the right sub, box & amp combination can rock not only ur world but ur neighbours too!
Depending on how much u want to spend depends on what u get. Cheapest option - all in one box - quality - average. Best options - read on.
For rock music l would suggest going no bigger than 12'' in fact l would recommend 10''. This is because they have a faster reaction time. Bigger subs r great for deep, loud, long notes so if that is what ur looking for then bigger is better (hip hop/rnb etc). So ur taste in music should decide the size of sub. Plus keep in mind ur space allocation. If ur r happy consuming half ur boot space or not!
Sub - very difficult to choose. Go for a name brand is all l can say. We all have our preferences, it is ur choice. DON'T buy on looks - u will never see it once it is installed!
Head unit - Individual choice as always & name brands only again. I've had Sony, Pioneer & JVC & was happy with them all. Each have their pro is & con's.
Box - this is possibly the hardest choice beleive it or not. The wrong box can not only sound bad but can damage ur sub. l had a custom made bandpass box put into one of my cars with 2 x 10 is - it sounded INCREDIBLE! It put bigger systems to shame! This box cost me as much as the sub did but worth every penny.
Amp - Basically see sub - Name brands only & do not take the MAX reading to choose - take the RMS. The max reading is almost not worth looking at. Always over spec the amp & run it at low levels because they will blow channels. Make sure u buy an amp suited to YOUR system. You can by any combination of channels these days (1/2/3/4/5 channels). If u want to run ur rear speakers off it as well u can. There is no point buying an amp & having channels not used efficiently.
Tips: Never run the amp on full gain - it wo not last long.
If it starts to sound strange stop it - the damage u can cause will cost u alot! I've been through a few amps between all the systems I've had.
Cableing - Make sure u wire it up correctly. l do not mean red to red etc l mean the right thickness cable etc. Depending on the system u put in will depend on what u need. A 2 sub system pumping in excess of 2000 watts will need a much bigger cable than a single 350w amp. Do not skimp on the little things! This includes the actual speaker cable & a good quality earth is important too.
If u really get into it there r formulas out there to tell u exactly what works best in what volume area etc. but that is what l paid my installer for!
I'd stay away from anything second hand & only buy something with a warrenty as previous mentioned.The last thing u want is to spend all that money & have it go bang in a week with no come back! For $1500 u should be able to get a pretty good system if u can install it yourself otherwise u might end up paying half of that just for the install. Visit a couple of local installers to see what sort of deal they can do for you.
Personally if l had $1500 to spend (just on equipment) l would look at:
A nice MP3 playing head unit with Ipod control with speaker & sub pre outs - 3 x RCA leads outputs.
4-6'' front & rear speakers
1 x 4 channel amp - 4 x 100w
1 x 2 channel amp - 2 x 500w
2 medium sized subs - 12'' 350w (plus enclosure [box])
All cabling & connectors!
Run the 4 door speakers off the medium sized amp to give good fill inside the car without having to max the volume & have the subs running off the other amp. This should deafen u quite nicely & annoy ur neighbours.
There r alot more toys available (capacitors, equilizers, dvd etc) but not within ur budget.
Sorry for the long winded explaination but it is worth spending time on - trust me.
