l have a Kenwood 10inch 200watt subwoofer for the boot of my car, two Kenwood 10cm Dual Cone Speakers 120watt for the front doors of my car and Kenwood 200Watt 6x9 speakers for the parcel shelf.My head unit is a Kenwood cd player 4 x 40 watts. Im wondering what amplifier l need to power all this??

l think ur looking at peak wattage, which means nothing. Try looking for the RMS wattage, that is what u need to be going by. As for the amp, u may want to go with 3 amps, a 4 channel & a mono block for the subs; or u could go with a quality 5 channel amp. But either way, for the front & back speakers ur going to want an amp that will give each speaker its RMS wattage & 4 OHMs since that is what most speakers run at. The sub u want to match the OHMs & the RMS wattage as well.

two options, u can buy only one amplifier with 5 channels that will allow u to handle all the speakers & the sub of ur car, or u can buy two amplifiers that will allow u to manage the speakers & the sub independently. The first one is the more economical solution, the second one is seeing to the option of future upgrading of the audio equipment.

i was looking on kenwood web page but l can not find a 5 channel amplifier, u should try in ur local car audio store!!

all the kenwood speakers u can run it by the head unit,for the sub if u want to save money u can buy a 2 channel amp and bridge it n get more power,,,to run your woofer,,
