l am looking for real deep bass. l have a alpine trype r 12 inch sub and a kenwood 1800 watt max power amp in my car, but it still doesnt have the deep bass that l want it to. l am considering the kicker solo-baric l7, im pretty sure these are known to be louder than the type r. l only want it really loud. what type of amp should be good with it?
or should l go with jl audio
what other subs and amps do you recomend?what would be a good setup so l can hear and feel the bass far away?
do l need a Capacitor?

The L7 sucks, it has mechanical problems, and they die out. JL, why is that even an option. Go with RE, any sub that RE makes is better than anything that JL could ever imagine.

l am not a big fan of the L7, however it is a pretty loud subwoofer when working right.

Re Audio is decent but a bit on the expensive side, same with JL Audio.

RE XXX & MT r both monster subs. The MT is more for SPL. the XXX is SQL. Both with tremendos power. l own the XXX Myself..but prefer my Fi Car Audio BTL 12'' Sub. IMO sounds louder & better than the XXX. for a fraction of the price.
So l vote for the Fi BTL sub myself. And belive me this sub pounds compared to the JL 12w7, because l own one of those subs too.

u r going to need an amp with alot more power lookinto a 5000watt amp because u can bridge it & get almost the whole 5000 watts. with an 1800 watt amp u get like 600 watts to ur sub unless u bridge it. look in the owners manual on how to bridge it. if u do go to a higher amp do get a capasitor & also l would get some dynomat its a insulator/soundberior for ur car u just peel & stick it in . it will give u a crisp sound & stop trunk rattles. also u wont get real deep bass with just one sub.i used to have 2 5000 watt subs for my 6 woofers & 2 600 watt amps for my regular speakers. all kicker subs 15 in, boston accoustic speakers dyno matt 2 caps, auxilary battery, l dyno matted the whole trunk & all the doors. strong enough to knock my mirrors off l personally would keep the 1800 watt amp but get another & do 3 12 in subs with a cap. it will have some nice sound & might give u what u r looking for. if u need more power add another 1800 watt amp.one for each sub but u also will need some crossovers as well to ties everything together. l would get the stuff & take it to a decent stereo shop not best buy & have them install it. they will know exactly what gauge wires u will need as well so u dont have a fire.
