l have your average JVC cd player which came with the car when l bought it. The cd player and radio both worked fine untill recently when l went to turn the cd player on and no sound came out.. l checked that the connector in the back was in properly, and it was. The thing l dont understand is that the faceplate is lit up (power going to it) and the track name etc is showing up and playing, and yet no sound is coming out of the speakers (with the volume turned right up)

im sure the answer is obvious but as its my first car l dont no much about the way the stereo and speakers are connected.

take out the deck and get the green wires and hook up any small speaker u know works (5 dollars for a cheapy walmart if u dont have one lying around)if u have no sound the internal amp is done and u will need a new deck. if it works then your problem is maybe and internal amp in ur car has a blown fuse or is not gettin power for some reason.
