l just bought a 10 inch xXx car subwoofer and it came with no cables and no screws to screw it to a subwoofer box.

The sub is 500 watts. What type of amp do l need?
and where do l get the cables to connect it.

As you can see im completly new to this. At the moment all l have is a subwoofer. So if anyone could help me out with what l need, ill really appreciate it.

Find out how many watts RMS your sub is (it should be on the box somewhere. Sometimes it is called nominal power). The 500 may be peak watts. Anyways, once you find out how many watts RMS your sub is, find any amp that can handle about the same or less watts RMS.
For the cables, just go to eBay or something and you can find sets of wires for like $30-$40 that have all the wires you need for your whole system.
As for the screws. Home Depot.

well u r going to need a 500w amp & some wires(like RCA wire, speaker wire, ground & power suply wire, & rem wire) which u can get at an elecrtic store or in the farmes market (they sell them in a package wit all the wires u need usually were they sell subwoofers & amps) also u r going to need a new system if yours dose not have the RCA connections. if u have a stock radio then most posible it dose not have them. last u will need a box to put ur sub in, u could either buy one (sold were they sell subwoofers & amps) or make one & buy screws to screw ur sub in, screws sold in ur harwere stores.
